Empower Yourself
Do you
know what’s right for you? If you’re like most people there
are times that you feel you do and times where you are
unsure, yet you are the only one that does know. Mom, Aunt
Becky, your best friend and the tarot card reader may have
their own suspicions around you and plenty of advice to
offer, however, you’re still the authority. Owning your
authority is the difference between giving your power away
and empowering yourself – a self-love prerequisite.
You give your power away when you:
• Worry about how others will perceive you, or what they
think of you, and let that decide your actions.
• Letting others sway your decisions.
• Not giving you a chance.
• Not believing in you.
• Listening to that negative inner voice.
• Ignoring or instincts or gut feelings.
You empower yourself by:
• Knowing your strengths and using them.
• Moving in the direction of your goals and dreams one step
at a time.
• Being true to you.
• Taking your own advice.
• Acknowledging your divinity.
• Being kind and gentle with you.
The next time you have any self-doubt ask yourself what
advice you’d give a friend in the same situation. Then
follow your own counsel. What makes this work is that when
helping a friend you will tend to come from a loving and
gentle space, where you acknowledge your friend’s authority
in their own life. Be your own best friend and live an
empowering life filled with self-love.
