Reinventing The Wheel
When you
have a goal or a dream that you're working on there are
times that you have take a few steps backwards before you
make a giant leap forward. I find I do this often in my own
life. Sometimes it can feel like I'm reinventing the wheel.
To a certain extent that's exactly what is being done. We
are reinventing ourselves whenever we back track a bit. At
these times we check to see what part of the dream or goal
still fits with us and make sure that getting to goal will
be fulfilling. After re-evaluation we can begin to create
new paths and opportunities.
The trick is to make new opportunities to suit who we are
and not mold ourselves to fit existing opportunities. This
is the only way to stay true to our heart and souls and to
be totally happy upon reaching the goal or dream. It takes
fearlessness in those moments when we may have to pass up
an existing opportunity that no longer fits who we are. In
those moments I try to remember that because I have changed
that that particular avenue is no longer a prospect.
Never be afraid to make the changes necessary for your own
joy or peace of mind, and always remember to alter the
dream to fit you and not yourself to fit the dream.
